Mental Health

After a difficult year dealing with Covid-19 everyone is somewhat aware of the meaning of Mental Health.

We all know the pandemic has had a significant impact on global mental health, but what consequences will it have once we resume normal life again? What scars will it leave?

The world around us, including friends, neighbours, relatives and regions, will not be outwardly different after the pandemic than it was before, but we now are more cautious. Our social reflexes, our stress management, our relationship with social anxiety has been effected in some sort of way.

30% of medical interns have suffered from post-traumatic stress.

Here at Pog we support and have great commitments to Jigsaw.

Jigsaw offers expert mental health advice and support to young people across Ireland between 12 and 25. 43,000 young people have been supported by Jigsaw between 2008 and 2021.

‘50808’ is a first of its kind for Ireland, a free 24/7 text service, providing everything from a calming chat to immediate support for people going through mental health or emotional crisis.

Here at Pog Mental Health matters.
